West African International Justice – Leadership, Challenges, and Opportunities
In order to examine and explore the contributions and ongoing challenges facing West Africa in the fight to achieve meaningful justice and accountability for atrocities in the region, the Wayamo Foundation, AGJA and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung will hold a symposium on 21 and 22 March 2019, under the banner of “West African International Justice – Leadership, Challenges, and Opportunities”.
Arusha – Symposium Report
Symposium report: The symposium, entitled “Beyond Narrow Interests –Justice and Accountability in East Africa”, was held on 27 November 2018 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. Guest speakers sought to identify ways to shift accountability efforts away from narrow political interests and approaches to accountability.

Assembly of States Parties 2018: Side event Report
ASP Side Event report: on 10 December 2018, the Wayamo Foundation and the Africa Group for Justice and Accountability (AGJA) hosted a side-event at the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, entitled, “Creative responses to international criminal justice – complementarity and capacity building.”
